First off, what's better (mainly) for gaming and (secondarily) for watching movies?
Does monitor response time (in ms) really matter (during gaming or watching movies)?
When buying monitors (for the two purposes mentioned above), what features/specifications should I take into consideration?

Thanks.

All current monitors are LED backlit LCD, and its TN vs IPS for panels. TN is faster, better for gaming, IPS is more vibrant with greater viewing angles, great for movies.

Response time doesn't matter unless it's like 10ms, a 5ms monitors is same as 1ms, if the refresh rate is the same, both in gaming and movie watching.

I'd look at higher refresh rates (60Hz minimum, 144Hz is pure gaming), lower response times, 5ms or lower, and good reviews! TN panels are not at all bad for movie watching, just a tad lower in color reproduction, but that can be solved by getting a good quality display.

Hello... 60 frames per second is a frame every 16.6 ms... it takes about 300 ms to blink.
I look for a smaller pixel pitch number, when comparing Monitors, Closer spacing produces a sharper image (as there are more dots in a given area).
