Hey, I am 15 and wondering the answer to a few questions, this is the first ever computer I will build so as you can imagine it is very scary?

The build:
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti Graphics Card (2GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0)
CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W, Retail Boxed)
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64 English 1 Pack DSP OEI DVD LCP (PC)
Optical drive: Samsung 24x Retail SATA DVD Writer
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX/EPS PSU
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus Midi Tower Case (ATX, M-ATX, Supports Bottom PSU Installation and Aperture for Cable Management, Anti-Vibration Rubber Stand)
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATAIII 6Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM
RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Blue

Questions:
What are you opinions on the parts? Are they a good combination?
Will there be any bottlenecks?
What are the chances of receiving a DOA part?
Is it easy to damage a part via ESD?
Will it run DayZ? If so, then how well?
What is the hardest bit about building a computer?

I know it sounds strange when I ask all these questions but I am genuinely worried about the build in case of the various problems that can occur during building.

Anyway, thanks a lot!

Hello :)
I built my PC ~ 1 month ago and i had the same worries .
The GPU is great and with that powerful CPU ( i have it on PC too ) and 8 GB RAM it will run whatever game you want !
Everything looks ok to me ( i am not an expert ) BUT i would really recommend to get an AMD Radeon R9 series Graphic Card for that CPU !
If you combine an FX 6300 with a R9 270x ( that's what i have but mine is HIS and with Turbo ) or R9 280 you will get a great experience ;)
And last thing and i strongly recommend that is the CPU cooler ! The one that comes with the CPU is : 1. Very small. 2. Very noisy. 3. It will never keep your CPU healthy cool !
Even with an Nvidia card you will be able to run everything ! I say that cause your build is almost same as mine :D  I played Watch Dogs on half Ultra , Need for Speed Rivals on total Ultra graphics , Far Cry 3 on half Ultra and lately i got Middle Earth - Shadow of Mordor and i run it on Very High graphics ( that game have 2 options of downloading : 1 for a max VERY HIGH graphic which totally great man and the second version is ~ 8GB more and it will require 6GG GPU for some more textures)
Even if you don't like to change any part of what you got then NO PROBLEM just get a Cooler Master EVO 212 CPU Cooler !!!

What is your budget? I have some changes in mind, but need a budget to give you a better answer. Putting your build together in pcpartpicker will help too. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

Thanks, that's given me a bit of confidence. I was differing on whether to spend £15 more and get the 270x but the budget is quite tight. Thanks anyway! :)

If you get the R9 GPU then why did you changed the CPU to intel :D
and cmon do you really buy your OS ? :D

I technically did buy my OS, as I received all my licenses through technet. Any talk of non legal means of OS acquisition is against the rules here. I changed to Intel because FX is a slower, 2yr old arch with no upgrade path. FX 6300 has to be overclocked to match, much less beat an i3 4xxx. With the H97 board, you have an upgrade path to broadwell next year. AM3+ is dead. Since it appears you do not need an OS, I would go with this.
