So my friend is facing this problem of his pendrive not being detected properly. He recently gave it to me to copy some stuff and it worked just fine, but when he tries to use it now, it doesn't work.
Specifically, the icon changes in My Computer that a pendrive has been inserted but there is no bar whatsoever concerning how much memory there is or being used. It is not formatting and when he tries to double-click it, it says something regarding location not found.
When he went to Device Manager, it gives some Error Code 10 and says Device is not able to function properly. I guess he is using either Windows 7 or 8. I've suggested him re-installing the drivers for now, but we're unsure of whether it will work. Note he's already tried all USB ports in his laptop.
