I've finished installing but when I try to launch the game, it gives me a C7 error. I'll attach my dxdiag. Is there any way to increase the allocated VRAM for the integrated graphics, ie make the RAM share more memory with the video card? I think the game is only able to detect the 128 MB dedicated memory and not the shared memory. Would this problem be solved if I got 2GB more of RAM? Please help me out.

Another question, can SO-DIMM RAMs work on DIMM motherboards, is the reverse possible? Please help me out.

And yes, I do know integrated graphics is not good for gaming but shouldn't the game at least run on low settings?

Minimum requirements:
Processor:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz or better

Operating System:
Windows XP Service Pack 3 or later

RAM:

Windows XP: 1.5GB RAM
Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB RAM

Note: PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB of RAM.
Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better. Examples include:

ATI X1800 or better
nVidia 7800 or better
Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better

Well my CPU is surely better than the Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz mentioned. The Dxdiag says that 676 MB memory is being shared with the PC. Perhaps the game is only able to detect its dedicated memory, ie. 128 MB? Is the shared memory not taken into account?

You have a laptop. A 3 year old one at that, that cost like $300 new. It isnt going to play SW:TOR. Im not surprised that it didnt even load the game. You are SURELY below minimum specs to play that game. So im not quite sure what you expected.

www.systemrequirementslab.com said that I could run the game all checks green, so that's what I expected to happen.

And when integrated graphics are used, doesn't the game take the shared memory into account?

Sadly, it seems that the game requires 256 MB of dedicated memory. So even if I have 8GB of RAM, it won't do any good.

I'll be buying a new PC soon, and thinking of going for the i5 4440 processor. Won't be buying a GPU yet, maybe after a couple of months. Even this processor has integrated graphics. Do you think that will be able to run the game or even that will face the same problem? I've heard decent reviews about that processor regarding handling games at medium settings. Please help me out.

Hey, it might not be so bad after all !!

So I tried running the game yesterday and I got to the character creation part . I think this was possible because I updated to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. But I closed the game because it was quite late. Today, when I click the 'Play' button, the game doesn't start. I don't get any incompatibility error message either. I can see the swtor.exe running in the task manager.

Some help would be appreciated please. It started fine yesterday.
