DSL 2730U router

I have purchased a DSL 2730U router and i have an internet connection with a ethernet plug i've herd that we can change one of the ethernet ports as an input port, is this true? if yes how do i do it? please help

You can make the router into an access point but that does not help you here.

No you cant make one of the LAN ports be a WAN port.

You will have to buy a proper router.

First there is no such thing as a DSL 2730U, it is a D-Link 2730U DSL Router. D-Link makes it (like Levi's makes jeans).
Secondly there is a manual with it, did you read the manual? http://setuprouter.com/router/dlink/dsl-2730u/manual-16...
Page 7, and LOOKING at the back of the router shows the ports, the MANUAL tell you HOW to USE the ROUTER and all PARTS of the ROUTER.

What do you mean "input port". Your word usage is NOT the terms or concepts used for these devices, maybe your just not 'explaining' yourself correctly.
What are you TRYING to do? What is the 'goal' here

He is wanting to use his dsl router, and use it as a normal router. Since the WAN interface on the DLS router is an RJ11, the OP believes that he can use a LAN RJ45 port and configure it to be a WAN port. Which is not true.
