I turned on my computer and as usual the MSI motherboard splash-screen popped up, then went away, which was normal. Then all I saw on my screen is a blinking white underscore... I've waited for about half an hour now and nothing has happened. I built the computer myself and I've been on it for about 2 years now.

EDIT: Before my computer started doing this, I started it up normally then my computer said,"Shutting down..." On the windows 7 screen. But I just started my computer up? So then I held the power button until my computer shut down. Still doesn't work and I'm just lost right now :(

EDIT

looks like your HDD is faulty or the SATA cable is....try placing the SATA cable then plug in the drive...if you get the same result then you need to buy a new HDD.
