I want to change the dpi shift/up/down on the logitech g402 mouse without changing it to another mouse key from the list which ranges from volume up/left click/dpi shift/etc. I just basically want the key to be able to assign for keybinds in games without having another function

Solution
go into the logitech gaming software, go to the mouse icon (customize buttons) and you will see profiles at the top, pre configured button commands to the left and the physical buttons on the mouse to the right. Right click a button on the mouse that you want to change then the rest should be easy.
