Hi all,

new here so sorry if this is posted in the wrong place,

i have just got a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8600 which is working great, BUT

my fan/heatsink that goes over the cpu is only an Intel E18764-001 which only goes upto 3.16GHz and this cpu is upto 3.33ghz

is it ok to run the pc while i wait for a new heaksink/fan
and if yes, what would be the best to buy on a budget

thanks
andy

it should be just fine.

best heatsink for the money is probably the CoolerMaster 212 Evo at around $30. It's widely recommended.
