Hi,

I've just received a new PC:
ASUS Z97A Motherboard
I7-4770K w/ stock cooler
16GB HyperX DDR3
240GB SSD

The CPU was hitting 80degrees celcius while playing games as CS GO, and rebooting/force shutdown.

Today i got a new CPU cooler (Artic Cooling, somewhat better than the stock).

Booted up the PC after assembled, cpu fan spinning - trying to benchmark and see if the cooler works.. hitting 80degrees.

Now the fan wont turn on at all in the new PC. Stock cooler works though.
- I've tried the new cooler in my other PC, and it works.

- Is this a problem with the Cooler, even though it works on my other PC ?
- Maybe a motherboard problem? (newest BIOS installed)

Might have a bad fan header on the motherboard.

A little complicated, but you can try pulling out the signal wire, leaving it in the CPU fan header on the appropriate pin, and plugging the fan into one of the chassis fan headers. If that works, I would say an RMA is in order.
