Once I get into a game and load up the level I can play the scenario for a minute or less then it auto restarts the computer. And I can stay in the games menus no problem, with some lag issues, but as soon as I load the level up then it will black out and restart. This card was running flawlessly before I left on a 5 month business trip, now it seems to be faulty. What can i do to diagnose?

I would download a free program called "Furmark" which is a testing tool that stresses a graphics card so that it can be tested for errors. It shows temps of the card and can show you if it is overheating. I would start from there and if you need any more help, feel free to send me a private message and I will walk you through it.

You are welcome. I have to admit, Even to this day, The 580 GTX is still one of my favorite graphics cards of all time. Pure horsepower at its finest.
