sapphire r9 290 vapor x on a 650 w psu?

Solution
If it is a rubbish quality 750W then yes that is what you need. If you have a good quality 650W or even a 550W, a R9 290 will run fine in them.
The EVGA G 650W is a decent quality PSU.

Your PSU is ok to use. But you should have really make a new thread.
You can get a 750W if it worries you that much. Get the EVGA 750W B2.

Apologies for the hijacking. Wont appen again Guv.

@Suztera, TY. Plan on upgrading my PSU in the new year. The graphics card will be any day. Now that i know a 650w is 'safe'.

@Neel_v, Im finding it way cheaper than amazon with the AMD game bundle chucked in.

Starting another thread....
