As I and geofelt said, GTX650 doesn't required auxiliary PCEi cable plug/s direct from psu..It gets power from motherboard pcie slot.
Basically motherboard PCIe 16x Slot max. Power = 75w...
Aux cables 6-pin = 75w and 8-pin 150w..

For EXAMPLE only: A graphics card required 100w power, it would need power from slot and aux pcie 6-pin from psu ... meaning slot (75w) + 6-pin (75w) = 150w enough to supply the requirement.

400w required by manufacturer this could include system power or other references. Power Supply quality and performance is another issue..

If you want budget-friendly psu and can handle your current system built, ranging 500w with 80+ compliance psu: Seasonic 520w M12II (semi-modular) or XFX psu. Check this...

+1 to geofelt
The graphics card GTX 650 actual power ranging to 65w, it doesn't even need PCIe power plug from psu, its power draws from PCIe slot of the motherboard (slot max power is 75w)..
Your 400w psu can handle your gpu as well as your whole system. The quality and performance of your 400w psu is another issue.

Hi there.

According to the official site the minimum system requirement for this GPU model is 400W, so my advice is to go with a golden or platinum power supply unit if you want the exact amount of 400W OR to get a more powerful one of 500W (which I think will be better because the PSUs are most efficient at about 80% of the max labeled capacity).

Hope this helps.

Cheers! :)
