need advice build now or wait for skyfall

I need a new desktop computer, gaming, photography. I am not sure if I should wait for skyfall with ddr4 or build an x97 now. Your thoughts would be appreciated. One other point I do not want to replace this computer for at least 5 years. Thanks in advance

My personal opinion is build now. I _never_ wait for the next great thing to come out, for several reasons
1) It will be expensive as heck for a while
2) The first iteration won't take full advantage of the technology
3) It will be just as obsolete soon.
