I just ordered a new PC, and i was wondering what drivers i needed for it. My specs are:

-FX-6300
-ASUS M5A97 LE r2.0 mobo
-Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4gb DDR3-1600
-WD blue 1TB
-ASUS Radeon R9 280
-EVGA 600b PSU

I know that i need drivers for my mobo and gpu, but what for exactly? It also said on PcPartPicker that the 970 chipset may need a BIOS update with the fx-6300.

Drivers are the software components that help the parts of a computer function and communicate. You will most likely have to download drivers for your graphics card to display items, a chipset driver, an audio driver, a lan driver for internet connectivity, and a couple others. PcPartPicker is letting you know that you might need to update the BIOS before being able to use your 6300, although I would be surprised if it shipped with a BIOS that did not support the processor. Any other questions?

I think you misunderstood my question, i was asking what drivers i need, not what they are

EDIT
oh sorry about that. well most of the driver will come from the motherboard, after that the GPU. that's about it. all the driver are available in the cd's that came with your purchase.

on the part on BIOS update check the manual for help. usually Asus and other boards comes with a software that detect outdated driver, BIOS and update's them for you.
