Hello! I have decided to make a little upgrade and after a few hours of research I reached at the conclusion that the Sapphire Radeon Tri-X OC R9 280x is the best for me. I just placed the order and after did a little more research and found out about this artifacts problem which, I think it's very annoying so, the question: Is this a problem that all these gpus have or it depends on your luck? It's very important for me to know because if all of them have this problem I still have time to cancel the order. Thanks for help! :)

The 280x is an overclocked version of an already overclocked card (7970 Ghz edition)
The Tri-X oC R9 280x is an overclocked version of 280x thats already an overclocked version of 7970 Ghz thats overclocked... :)
So basically with all that overclocking the binning of the chips must be flawless. Since thats not always the case, a lot of users are reporting artifacts with these cards however most of them are a result of AMD drivers rather than pushing the chip too far.

I wouldn;t bother with the 280x tri-x to be honest. Get the 285 or 290 that are based on newer architecture and not of older overclocked chips.

Thanks for the advice! The site from where I bought the 280x has a good returning policy so... but still, is there any 280x owner who had no problems like this and does the 285 have problems too? The GPU will arrive tomorrow but I am very curious.
P.S.: the 290 it's above my budget :/

The 285 has nothing to do with the 280x so no worries there. 285 is newer gen along with 290/290X and 260/260x
