So I had VISTA on C: on IQON PC,& if probs I recovered to factory from RECOVERY PARTITION,(F8),then 1 day, I plugged a keyboard in,in purple port.. it would not boot up, no safe mode..nothing, no options from f8,f9 etc.. so i had to install an XP disk, but the recovery partition is still there with the files and folders in it...PC ANGEL used to be the software that ran it, and the files were hidden, now the partition in windows explorer looks like an O/S file directory...sources...i836...BOOT.MGR etc,so.....when i boot my pc now,i get an option of 2 x XP options, but the 2nd 1 is my recovery partition, and does not recover the PC... could ido it another way, go back to vista I mean, from the D: Partition instead od having XP on the C: partition. I liked VISTA....Cheers - FRED

C: was VISTA HOME PREMIUM

I had USB keyboard, plugged PS2 keyboard in

Gottold, during boot-up a problem, need to REPAIR YOUR PC, BUT NO OPTIONS, THEN HAL.DLL ERROR

INSTALLED 'XP'ON c:

boot up gives me 2 XP's to bootto, 1st 1 is XP, 2nd 1 is the recovery partition , it does not boot to that, just restarts

whatto do with recovery partition...command wise ....F8 or F9 gives no options during boot up
