Computer Turns On For 1 Second - Then Off

So I have just stumbled upon an issue that I was hoping to resolve simply but that has proven not to be the case. Hopefully someone on here has an idea so simple I overlooked it. Two days ago I was in the middle of playing a video game on my computer when I heard a loud noise (granted not sure if from headphones or actual physical computer) and then my computer just shut off as though I lost power. After testing the PSU I found out that it had reached the end of its life so I replaced the PSU. When the new PSU was installed, the power light on the motherboard once again lit up. I was happy for about two seconds.

After installing the new PSU, there is power reaching the computer; however, the computer only attempts to start up and shuts off again after literally 1-2 seconds - not enough time for it to do anything. I have tried several things I have found on the forums here but none have seemed to resolve my issue and I am beginning to worry something more than just the PSU giving out may have happened. I have attempted to simply "reset" the motherboard, resetting the CMOS, removing 1 and then both memory sticks, unplugging power from the optical drive, graphics card, and hard drives, but nothing has worked. I simply plug in the computer, the motherboard light turns on, but when I press the actual power button, the fan light turns on and begins to move and then 1 second later it just stops. When this happens, I cannot press the power button again either otherwise it won't even do that.

Any ideas?! This is driving me insane! I don't want to have to spend even more money. Below is my system.
