Hello Tom's Hardware community. I just recently upgraded my video card to try to reach a steady 60 fps in stressful situations in WoW and League of Legends (Large raiding in wow, and 5v5 team fights in League of Legends) on max settings. I can't get any specific FPS numbers in WoW yet I haven't tested it. On League, I can run on max settings no issue at all until I get in a team fight, then I go from 70+ fps to 30 fps. I just turned my settings down from very high to high and I get about 44fps in teamfights on those settings.

I opened my task manager while to watch my CPU and RAM usage while I was playing. I first check what my usage was while it was idle and I noticed I am between 0% - 2% on my CPU usage, but my memory usage was at 30%-45% (about 2.5 GB), running 83 processes. I'm not super techy, but that seems really high if i am not mistaken while idle. I hopped on WoW and just stood in the middle of a city and noticed that it was between 60%-75% in my memory usage.

Here is my build...if i need to post some kind of logs plz let me know.

The GPU and CPU load are important . In game you should have e.g. 70% CPU usage and 98-100% GPU load . i use these tools for monitoring : MSI Afterburner , GPU-Z , Real Temp

If you get the right score in benchmarks , no place to worry

I think the reason your RAMs using almost 50% is for you OS, I have seen this before but with Win 8.1, You can try setting it to only us about 20% of RAM, that would be ideal. And while under a load your RAM will kick up to 70s or 90s % usage, considering that you only have 4 gigs

The memory usage is high even at idle cus Superfetch has cached a lot of files into the RAM . But you may run a virus scan , to make sure everything is fine.

I ran a scan on Malwarebytes before I posted and it didn't detect anything. Is there another virus scan you would suggest running?

The best Kaspersky and Bitdefender - paid but have trial versions . i use MS Security Essentials cus it s free . i dont like Avast - it s adware . i dont think your PC has viruses

I don't think so either. I don't see any weird processes on my taskmanager

Might use Geforce Experience to optimaze the game , though i dont like it - manually is better and GE has bugs . You know , not very high Antialiasing ! From NV Control panel , might set Use my preference emphasizing : Performance . i always set in NV Control panel : Max pre-rendered frames : 2

Did just did an LFR raid on WoW. 60 FPS on ultra (even Ultra Shadows) and didn't stutter even on AoE phases. Watched my task manager and ram usage was at about 60% the whole time. That seem normal even for 8 GB?

Why do you worry so much about the RAM usage .8GB is enough and-40% free is fine . Look at the amount of cached data in RAM (from files)

I mean, I doubt anything is wrong with your RAM, WoW is turning into a intense graphic game (When on Ultra). I remember back when it first cam out the grapics weren't good at all (I was a beta tester and played for a while after release). If your PC says it uses a lot of RAm than so be it, right? As long as it still functions and doesn't cause any overheating problems then i'd say your fine
