Hey there, recently I've had a terrible drop in frame rates on some CPU intensive games. I'm only a light gamer (League of Legends, Minecraft, Runescape, etc.). Most of the games I play don't require too great of hardware, However recently I've had a sudden FPS drop on those games where as I use to get 100+fps, now I'm sitting at about 30. My current specs are as follows:
CPU:AMD FX-4300 (stock cooler)
RAM: 8gb Adata ram @803mhz
GPU: GTX750 Twin Frozr
PSU:CX430M

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you have had a massive frame drop you should do a virus and malware scan. A good way to get some free frames in league is to install the new summoners rift map.

Already tried the virus scan, and no luck. I'll try installing the new map however :)

My CPU usually sits at around 30C-40C and my GPU is about the same. I play on all high settings with no shadows.

Isee...Do you happen to over clock your GPU or your CPU? And do you mean your RAM is only at 803mhz? Instead of the standard 1333 or 1600mhz?

My CPU isn't overclocked and neither is my gpu. Also yes, my ram is only at 803mhz.

Oh, I know this has nothing to do with your initial question but why is your RAM under clocked?

The pc was originally from iBuyPower, I've added a few parts since I got it. I've never messed with the ram clock speed.

Shamar is correct to be concerned. Under clocking memory is no good at all. Fix this before doing anything else. then let us know how it goes. Here's an article that goes over what you need to do

Thanks! From this I learned that my RAM isn't actually @803mhz, it is in fact at 1600mhz (I think?). If I'm wrong please correct me. I also downloaded the CPU-Z and made sure it was at 803 there aswell. Still getting low fps though :(
