hi guys, i really need help, i'm obsessing over this. nowhere on the internet can i find the specific uefi setting for the H97 Fatal1ty Performance to turn usb off when system is shut down. i have no erp setting or that on/off play setting. deep sleep makes no difference either. i have no as rock apps installed, like app charger or anything. everything, and i mean EVERYTHING is disabled to wake up the pc, as i've checked absolutely everything, even RTC Alarm Power is off. AC/Power Loss in UEFI off. Dehumidifier OFF. in device manager everything unticked in 'allow to wake..' i even physically use my wireless mouse and keyboard buttons to set them on OFF after shutdown. i have no tasks or updates scheduled. nothing. PSU is fine, voltages are perfect. please tell me there is someone here who at least knows what option needs to be disabled so that usb will be off when computer is off. i mean even my speakers remain ON after shutdown, bec they are usb. and maybe then my ghostly boots will disappear too. i also have the latest bios.

Has this always been an issue since you purchased this system/motherboard?

I think something over all is causing a power issue/short for system to be turning on its own and also for your USB to have power going to them when system is suppose to be off.

i would say disconnect power cord from the back of the system and then drain it by holding down the power button for at least 20 seconds.
Disconnect a device HDD,any PCI cards/GPU etc.. just one at a time when you disconnect one give the system power and see if your USB ports still get power running to them to see if any device is causing any weird power issues.

Also you can disconnect the devices and wait to see if the system turns on its own.

the as rock boards have this option enabled by default, so you can charge ur phone or use ur speakers with ur iphone while the pc is off, so nothing unusual here. just that i'm baffled that no one seems to know what option is there to disable for this specific card in order to lose that USB always on. i mean nothing in the manual, nothing on google, it's like i'm the only person in the world with this card :)). for a lot of different as rock boards i have found the answer, just not for mine. yes, i can just disconnect everything, but it would be easier to just use my psu switch on/off then (which i'll pbbly end up doing). also the behaviour is very erratic, can take days before it turns on by itself again. different hours too.

What PSU do you have? Do you have another you could try for a while? Even if yours looks good while it's on that doesn't mean it's behaving itself when it's off.

I don't have a fix for the USB problem but you might be able to work around it by putting a USB card in a free slot and plugging your speakers into that.
