Solution
Asus Maximum VII Hero - $40 more than the MSI GD65 with same feature set and the MSI has equal or better components. Hero also has issue with BIOS Clock Freeze Bug

Intel 4770k - Last generation, 4790k is current CPU

"I have 3 boards with this issue in my shop and EVERY client system I built has this problem. I have tried EVERY fix in this thread, nothing works for more then a few days. Flashed BIOS, reset to factory, replaced batteries. NOTHING.

Asus GeForce 970 GTX Strix OC - Read the review at Bit-tech which goes into deep detail on the physical construction of the cards. Asus utilizes some run of the mill components and doesn't provide direct cooling for many of the PCB compoenents. As a result, the Gigabyte and MSI clock well over 1500 MHz (MSI hit 1567 in hitechlegion review) and Asus manages only mid 1400s

Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 16GB 1866mhz - 2133 CAS 9 is the sweet spot right now, Mushkin has Hynix modules with lowest timings on market

Corsair H100i - Can you handle 68 dbA ... that's grandma's vacuum cleaner. Swiftech does it better and you can add water blocks to the loop .... is budget an issue, the $90 Cryorig R1 beats the H100i. Read the review

Seagate Barracuda 3TB - Ya got the SSD to boot faster but that's not helping the games on the HD. Suggest replacing the 3 TB w/ a 2 TB SSHD

XFX 850w Pro Black Edition - EVGA 750 watter is today's choice

Corsair Obsidian 750D - Nice case, but I think the Enthoo Luxe edges it substantially....built in fan controller, built in RGB color changing LED w/ LED controller
