Please help me choose! 2GHz Core i7 with 2GB AMD Radeon R5 M230 or 1.7 GHz Core i5 with 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M

Hi Guys,

I have zeroed in on two laptops, but can't decide which one to go for:

1. 2GHz Core i7 with 2GB AMD Radeon R5 M230
2. 1.7 GHz Core i5 with 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M

Please suggest me which one would be better in terms of performance.

Option 1, as I see no way a 1.7ghz i5 would ever saturate or fully utilize 4gb of vram. Even option 1 is lackluster at only 2ghz.

that being said, it would help even more to provide us with your expected usage of the machine. Gaming, internet, office, etc. and which is your primary focus.
