Looking to build the best Gaming PC within this price range. I have a 1440p Monitor, and plan on running games on these settings. I prefer Intel, I also like the GTX 980 a lot. Looking for an effective cooling system as well. I might be overclocking, have not decided if that is my goal yet.

What is the best build you can come up with?

Replace Outdated Swiftech 320 with current Swiftech H240-X
http://www.swiftech.com/H240-X.aspx

The why's....

1. While I use Asus boards at higher price points, in this price range MSI is the better buy, GD65 has same feature set and equal or better components then the Asus Hero which is 440 more.

2. RAM has Hynix Modules (Gold Standard) is lower priced and has better timings than most competitors at this time.

3. SSD for fast boot / SSHD for fast game loading

4. If ya read this article, you will see detailed tear downs of each card which illustrate actual component differences between the various cards. Who uses hi quality caps, who uses super ferrite chokes, and who provides direct cooling for those components. Of course the construction differences are reflected in the overclocking abilities of each card. Gigabyte didn't participate but their card is also excellent.

5. Great case, built in led, led controller and fan controller (black also available)

6. EVGA PSU isn't $75 any more but still a great buy for PSU w/ 10 year warranty.

You have given me an amazing build. I researched all the parts and all of which had excellent ratings. Thank you for that!

Now i am only confused by one thing. The liquid cooling system.

I noticed you linked the "H240-X liquid cooler" and also the "H220-X liquid cooler"

Which cooler should i get? I also have no experience with liquid cooling installation.

The 240 is 140mm wide .... the 220 is 120mm wide and is $10 less. Use what fits or what is available. In Canada, I can only find the H220-X (NCIX) ....pcpartpicker seems incapable of finding it anywhere. In US, they can always be found on Swiftech site

Installation is much easier than typical AIOS

1. Installing radiator no different than installing two case fans
2. Installing water block is much easier than installing air cooler.
