So, I noticed my C-drive increased by 10 GBs at some point. I recently added some RAM, increasing from 8GBs to 16GBs, but I wouldn't think that would increase the data on my C-drive. Also, I recently had a Windows update, but I've never had one that added 10GBs. So, I am at a loss at what could be causing this. I didn't notice it until after the update though. Any ideas?

I should also mention that I have deleted all restore points as well. I know those guys gobble up a lot of space, so this is not a solution.

The hibernation file needs to be equal to the size of your RAM, by memory. If you add 8GiB of RAM, it will take up an extra 8GiB.

I was doing a little digging and read this as well, so I will assume this is the culprit. I had no idea adding ram would downsize my disk space. So, is it safe to assume that if I disable hibernation, I will get 16 GBs back? I never put my computer into hibernation, it is either running, sleeping, or off, so no need to keep hibernation active. Thanks.

I think so, but I'm not certain.

If turning off hibernation doesn't return your disk space, look for a file called hiberfil.sys and delete it.
