Can I use a Magellan GPS with my computer to act as a gps receiver?
I have a usb cable and my pc is windows 8.1 and it's a netbook
Could the Magellan act as a usb GPS?

I don't think stand-alone GPS units can act as GPS receivers (tried this way back with Magelan's and Garmin's). You might be able to find an app for your smartphone which can do that, or buy USB receiver (I got mine way back for $40, including software).

But why? With proliferation of tablets/phones, and built-in GPSs, not too many companies now make Windows navigation software and maps (Microsoft has declared that SnT is no more).
