I want to do gaming as well as other demanding work like editing.

I had a couple questions too:

-I was wondering when the Broadwell cpus come out so it might be better to wait for that.

-it says something about the memory voltage being more than 1.5 is that ok?

- I was wondering why is the gtx 970 much cheaper than a titan z when the performance is better?

-Why are there different priced gtx 970s aren't they all the same? they say they have different clock speed but can't you just buy the cheapest one and overclock it to the most expensive one and save money?

Thanks!

Yeah it's a pretty good build, and ill answer your questions:

1. I wouldn't wait for broadwell, because the beauty of Z97 motherboards (and it has been confirmed by intel) that you will be able to pop a broadwell chip in a z97 board. So the mobo in a way is already future proof.

2. That should be fine, just go into the bios and select the xmp profile for the memory and you will be set.

3. Who in the world told you that a gtx 970 is better than a titan Z? The complete opposite is true, which is why the titan Z costs $2999.

4. Different manufacturers put their fancy stuff in like coolers and pre overclocked chips in the gtx 970 graphics cards, which is why they are priced different.

Oh and BTW... Don't get Corsair CX for your PC, it is made of very cheap components and is not good for a high performance pc, use corsair HX or seasonic psus.

Thank you TechyInAZ, I know the motherboard is compatible with it but I just didn't want to spend $300 on a haswell when maybe the broadcom will come out next month or something. Do you know when they do come out? Also, regarding the gpu, I was looking at this chart here for that info: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html as well as here which ways gtx 970 wins: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-TITAN-Z-vs-GeForce-...

Desktop Broadwell is slated for Q2 2015 if at all. Intel has stated they won't hold back Skylake to give Broadwell time in market and the mobile chips are just hitting now, so there is a nonzero chance we may not see desktop Broadwell SKUs.

thanks viewtyjoe.

Wait why is corsair cx bad because I already bought it since there was a rebate for it. It seemed to have good reviews and a 3 year warrenty. What is the difference?
