Im sorry that this is a bit long winded. So just tonight I decided to upgrade my RAM from 4gb to eight by purchasing a corsair vengence set. I pulled the old ADATA stick out, placed the new sicks in slots one and three from the cpu and thought I was set. Well, then the thing decided it was going to crash on me every half hour or so. So after I found that the mobo was set to run the sticks a a lower frequency and higher voltage than the manufacturer suggested. But when I set them to what was suggested my PC crashed and ive had no luck getting it to boot up properly, the fans come on but no signal gets from th GPU to the monitor and neither the keyboard or mouse light up like they should at boot. What did I do and how do I fix it?
With that said, I run an MSI mobo 970A-G43
AMD 3.8mhz 4 core cpu
Radeon R7260X Graphics card
the new ram is corsair vengence 2x4gb
the old was a single ADATA 4gb stick
I aprieciate any help, this is my first build and I still have a lot to learn.

Look in your manual on how to reset the BIOS - and follow the directions (failure to follow properly could result in damage to the BIOS). It should allow you in to verify your RAM settings at that point.

I found how to do this after posting the thread last night. Took me longer to figure out than I care to admit. Thanks for answering my question.
