Issue with a new Asus X99 Build

Hi There, I recently Completed a new build See the part list below.

Everything seems to be running fine but for some reason One RAM stick is not reporting. CPU-Z is saying it is slot 4 ( I am using Crucial 4x4Gb DDR4).

I switch the rams sticks in those slots and restarted hoping the RAM was bad but no RAM slot 4 is still not reporting. _ Pic:http://imgur.com/cciyBW9

Can anyone provide any advice is the board trash (ARGH if it is I finally got the cords all nicely managed)- Or Would a Bios update help here- I haven't figured out how to go about that.... Thanks for any help

Edit" Bios Is only reporting one Stick of RAM- So i Windows- But Cpu-Z is still seeing 3... Should I be RMA-ing my board.

Try every stick in that slot and if they all fail to report go into the BIOS and make sure that for some funky reason there isn't anything that would relate to the slot not being enabled (Never heard of this, but you just never know). Honestly, if all the modules work in other slots, it's almost gotta be the board, or, for some reason the modules are not getting fully seated in that slot. Make sure there are no foreign objects or anything that might be stopping it from seating or interfering with the pins making a good connection with the teeth in the slot.

Thanks I will give this a shot tonight.

If I can't get it to work Should I RMA just the Board or Everything? -Cpu, Ram, Motherboard, Heat Sink (H100i comes with preapplied thermal paste.)

Should I considered going to a different mother board model?

No, that's a fantastic motherboard. But even Ferraris sometimes have problems. You can buy a brand new Corvette with a bad engine. It's not likely, but it happens. Even more so with computer hardware as it's not extensively tested prior to shipment. They test everything, or at least most companies do, but not extensively. It could easily have a bad RAM slot due to a defect. Just RMA it if it turns out none of the other possibilities pan out.

How do I go about doing that? I downloaded the bios updates they are just compressed files of I think .cpa. sorry I thought you can just run an exe. Thanks agian

Hi Darkbreeze!

Thanks again for the help. It turns out I wasn't fully seating the Cards. I tried the Bios update and that didn't fix the issue.

Then I ordered a replacement and tried pulling all the cards out and then once again but this time more forcefully putting the RAM Cards in... I guess I was following the "don't Force" it rule to strongly! Thanks again for all the replies and help.
