Hi!
My new Windows 8 laptop seems to have a few things that bother me.
My computer won’t let me turn it to hibernation. It just has a blank screen for 5 minutes, and shuts itself down.

Also a possibly related problem:

Fast boot is disabled. I have gone through the power settings, and the
Turn on Fast Startup
Sleep
Hibernate
Lock
are all greyed out. All of them. I have to press the ‘Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Before, my startup took only 9 seconds with fast boot on. Now, fast boot does not work and it takes 40 seconds.
I think these two problems are related to the hiberfil.sys not working properly, or hibernation problem.
I have not fiddles with the BIOS settings, and I have tried disabling and enabling hibernation.
