Hello,

I need your help!!

I recently build a new computer and everything was going fine until there is little stress on the cpu.
The instant where I run cpu stress programs, the computer immediately turns off and restart.
I don't know where the problem lies and I don't really know how I could resolve it...
The idle temperature seems all right (about 25-35). It is really when I work in after effects or play games where the temp goes crazy high. (>80)

Either your cooler isn't set right on the CPU. IE loose, too much or too little thermal paste or perhaps the voltage to the CPU is set way too high, 1.3 or 1.4V.

I have tried putting different amount of thermal paste multiple times on the cpu and the results were always the same. I don't really know why.
I will try the stock cooler tomorrow if there is any difference.
How do I check the Cpu voltage?
I suspect that the motherboard is doing some kind of overclock...

go into the bios and it will show you find out what the vcore is and the cpu frequency

I went in the bios and the vcore is set to 1.1v and the cpu is running at 4.4 GHz it looks like.

1.1 is right 4.4 is the boost clock it should be sitting at 4.0 try setting the frequency to 4.0 manually and see if it helps

It is at 4.00 GHz and the 0.4 is the turbo boost it looks like.

Just to clarify I didn't do any Overclocking, everything should be at default right?

Yes everything should be default. Could you take a screen shot of hw monitor while it is under load.

I can't put it on load. As soon as I do, the cpu temp goes so high that the computer turns off and restart.
I first tried HeavyLoad and the instant I click start, the computer turns off.

if everything is set to default and it is still overheating try a different cooler and if that doesnt work rma the chip you might have a problem with the TIM under the lid not dissipating heat

I'm on the stock cooler currently and the temp increased by about 10. I suppose the cpu is faulty because I don't see anything else that could be the problem. I get more than 70c when opening after effects...

I'm gonna start the Rma...
