Hi there,

I am going to build my first gaming PC soon and was wondering if these posts are all compatible and if they can get 60+fps on games like bf4, far cry:

Amd fx8350
Sapphire tri-x r9 290x
Gigabyte z97-SLI
Corsair vengeance 2x4gb ram
1tb caviar blue
240gb m500 ssd
Bitfenix prodigy
Cx750 750w

Thanks a lot!

Try going for a I5/970 which.. should be around your price range. Also.. A z97 mobo isn't compatible with AMD processor, and I'd recommend another PSU. Preferably Tier 1/2A from this list.

What's your budget/location?

EDIT: Just realized the case was a prodigy. Mobo's probably too big for it.

•Don't get the CX750! It uses cheap capacitors, it's loud, and some have coil whine. I'd recommend an HX750 instead. It's a costs a little more, but it's totally worth it.
•You may be able to get a 970 for a similar price. It's more efficient, runs cooler, and outperforms the 290x.
•Z97 is an Intel mobo. You need an AM3+ socket. I have the Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 and it's great!
•I don't know if that motherboard will fit in that case... I think it has to me micro ATX.

Other than those things, it looks great!
