i have had a psu blow up on me before, so thats where i'm coming from.

i try to keep a 20% overhead from the max my computer could possibly draw in a worst case scenario, so i suggest a 700-750 watt for single gpu, for a 2 gpu setup i believe a 850 watt is enough but would probably get a 1000watt to be safe.

to make it easy, assume the cpu is 150 and any gpu is 300, hdds are 20 (unless solid state) and ram is 10 per stick. dvd drive is either 20 or 50 and motherboard is 50 or 75...

i forget the exact numbers, but its a general safe bet numbers, the ones you posted are significantly lower than what i said, but its just a quick easy way to calculate without looking up every part individually.

Your processor has a max TDP of 88W, and 170W for your graphics card. Everything else won't use more than 100W.

That's a total of ~358W at max load. With a 550W PSU you will have at least 53.6% of buffer...

If you intend to get another 760 for SLI in the future, you should get a PSU of at least 650W and with sufficient PCIE connectors.

Is this a gaming build? Will you be upgrading the GPU in the future? Looks like a really strong build but with a comparatively weak GPU, if for just gaming you should trim some cost from other areas and upgrade the GPU

You don't need 300fps...

Graphics performance will be determined by your graphics card, not the CPU (because there is no bottleneck)
