Hey Ibreakthings. You can't do what you are describing. If you install the program on the HDD it will load and run from the HDD. Usually people pick up an SSD for their OS because it is much much faster than an HDD. You could also run games from it, but you won't get a big kick out of its speed unless the game has lots of loading screens, because generally the greatest impact the drive could have on a game is less loading time.

Install the operating system of your choice on the SSD, then move your documents, music, videos, ect to an HDD. You can change the default directories of these folders depending on your OS.
Unfortunately it's not really possible (as far as i know). You install windows onto your SSD, then have all your movies and stuff on your HDD. If you want a game to take advantage of the SSD then you'll have to install it onto that. Usually you have room for a few of your most played games on the SSD.
