Hey Guys,

I've been having a lot of issues with stuttering in WoW since the patch a could of days ago. I'm currently running around at about 70-120fps (dependent on zone) in ultra graphics.

When i say stutters it is very occasional (maybe every 30-50 seconds), i can be running/flying/fighting/just looking around and the game will (what it feels like) freeze for half a second and then continue like nothing has happened (input is not effected, any spells pressed or camera pan during this time has taken effect and the results can be seen after the stutter). I did try and get some footage of it last night but either fraps isn't picking it up or it decided not to do it when i wanted it to. It doesn't feel like my system is struggling as it can happen in low demanding areas/situations too.

My comp:
I5 (ivy bridge) - unparked
Sapphire 7870
8gb of kingston ram
Asrock MB

What i've tried:
-Checked AMD drivers - up to date (14.9)
-Killed off all background processes
-Made sure windows wasn't updating
-No automated scans going
-Played around with vertical sync but i really don't understand this fully if im honest. Regardless, with it on it pulls my FPS down to 60 and the stutters continue
-Disabled all addons
-googled the sh*t out of it but with very limited 'solved' results.

Is it possible with their graphical upgrade it could be the game itself which is a little unstable and, for what ever reason, only affects a few users? I know their servers have been unreliable since the patch.

Any help or accounts of others having this issue would be much appreciated.

Well in response to this i did some more playing around and i seemed to have solved it.
I have the new "AMD gaming evolved" thing, or raptr running along with my games. I had put my graphics to ultra in WoW but hadn't put them to ultra in that (or optimized it as it calls it). No more stutters.

For people who are randomly googling this issue and the above doesn't help you, here are some more fixes i found during my googling:

-Check DirectX 9 & 11. Blizz has done a poor job with direct 11 and can cause issues with some graphics cards. Try reverting back to directX 9, you wont get so many of the 'flares' with the graphics but you'll have a stable game.
-Reinstall drivers (using AMD driver removal tool)
-Check options in raptr (optimise, mess with graphics)
-uninstall raptr
-Limit to 60 fps (but not through vsync): Open the config.wtf in the Wtf folder with notepad or wordpad and enter at the bottom:

SET gxTripleBuffer "1" <—This is possible already enabled so check if its present in the config file.

SET maxFPS "60"
