Help me understand why this tv looks like crap on 1080p on pc

http://www.vizio.com/tvs/eseries/e320ib1.html that tv right there is 1080p but i switch it to computer picture mode and so on and scale it to 1920 x 1080 but looks very blurry it looks fine on my ps4 ( I think) and solutions? as i read the vizio page it said 720p but when i was at the store it said 1080p. so was i mislead is it still a good tv to play on?

yes i realized that but at the store it stated that is was 1080p and the info bar at the top on tv my ps4 when on and playing stat that they are in 1080p so im confused. am i upscaling? nothing looks different from my 1080p monitor for my pc i guess. also im wondering is 720p bad or not? why is my ps4 upscaling too 1080p if its a 720p ?

Are you sure it's exactly your model? Check the model number on the sticker behind the TV. Should it be the right model, although I'm not sure of the following explanation, this is how it looks to me.

The TV is able to output up to 1080p signals, but is only able to render up to 1366x768 pixels (720p). Anything else above that value is actually a zoomed and scaled-to-fit view of 720p, making things look blurry or jaggedy.

If I was right, it would prove to be a nice TV, but not the best for gaming...

yea it said E320i-b1 an the back. i mean as another question is 720p an alright res though. i have computer gamed for year first tiem owning a tv or console. the thing is i feel cheated that they told me it was 1080p but turns out to be 720p i mean i cant really tell the difference on driveclub from my 100p 23in monitor to the tv (guess the upscalling is pretty good there.) i just dont know anymore.

What you probably bought is a 1080i ready TV, meaning it can scale up to 1080 but it is not true 1080. That doesn't mean it should give blurry picture from the PC though. The PS4 (depending on the game) gives an output on 1080 that may be the reason why it says it's 1080 when you plug it in.
Did you try changing the resolution via the PC when plugging it into the TV?

Get your money back if it was false advertised.. I don't know where you live but in most western countries you have the right to do so.

Yea i chaged it to 1920 x 1080 and it kinda of looks distant and little blurry but not alot like it very tolerable.

Changing the Screen Aspect Ratio
The TV can display images in five different modes: Normal, Stretch,
Panoramic, Wide, and Zoom. Each mode displays the picture
differently.
To change the screen aspect ratio:
1. Press the WIDE button on the
remote.
2. Use the Arrow buttons to
highlight the aspect ratio you
wish to view and press OK.
• Normal preserves the content’s
original aspect ratio. Since the
4:3 aspect ratio is not large
enough to fill the TV’s screen,
black bars are added to the left
and right of the display image.
• Stretch expands the display image to fill the screen.
Images may appear wider than intended. If you are
watching widescreen (1.85:1 or 2.35:1) content, black
bars will still appear on the top and bottom of the display
image. This option is only available when the TV is
displaying a 720p/1080i source.
• Panoramic expands the display image to fill the screen.
Images may appear wider than intended. If you are
watching widescreen (1.85:1 or 2.35:1) content, black
bars will still appear on the top and bottom of the display
image. This option is only available when the TV is
displaying a 480i/480p source.
• Wide stretches a 4:3 aspect ratio picture to the edges
of the screen. Since the picture is being stretched, the

bottom of the display image.
• Zoom expands images with black bars to fit the screen

after some digging adn researching 1360 x 768 is not a bad res since the widscreen of the hdtv can be upscalled 768 is still a decent setting and doestn really matter the ps4 still looks great and i can just switch the tv out for my monitor if i really care for it. this thing si bigger then it and maybe later down the road when i dont have to pay so many bills i can get a 1080p regular one.
