VRAM is not related to the RAM. VRAM only pertains to the graphics card whereas RAM is for the system and its requirements (to put in easy way).
Now a days, 2GB VRAM is like a must requirement with modern games requiring more than 3GB of VRAM. Also for System better consider 4GB RAM as minimum.
