Hi there!
I currently have a Corsair CX-500M 80+. I plan on upgrading my rig to a AMD FX-8320, 8GBs of RAM and a Gigabyte R9 280X OC. I do not plan on overclocking. So is the 500W psu enough for this setup?
Thanks for the replirs in advance!
FX is higher TDP than Intel, and even if it was an i3 (much less TDP), you should not recommend it, CX500 is crap quality, it'll fail even on 270X's load, let alone 280X.
hmm I might have been looking at a higher quality psu, I have been looking at intel mostly these days so power I generally see people over doing but you might need somthing more like 600 w for this or a good 550w

They are at the same price as the EVGA in Hungary. I know its a dumb idea but what if I run my system with the cx500 and put another 500w psu (I have another HKC) and with the that I only run the gpu? Is this possible? And if not why not?
Ah crap. I just bought it one month ago . Can you guys recommend a fairly cheap 600W? Thanks!
Soha ne spórolj a tápon, soha. (Never go for a cheap PSU, never; for those who cant speak glorious hungarian)
Na ezt hogyan? Honnan tudtad, hogy magyar vagyok? (Edit: rájöttem) ("Wtf? How did you know that I'm hungarian? (Edit: figured it)")
Is the Gigabyte Superb 620W worth it and is good for my config?
