I just built a gaming computer and everything is going well. I installed windows 8 and plugged in my TP-Link Wireless adapter but i cannot connect to the internet. My router is on the other side of my house, so i have about 3 or 5 bars in my room. When i try to connect, i am either given a limited network, or it shows im connected, but the internet page will not load. The computer says the drives for it are up to date, and i have unplugged the router a few times. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks for any help

Control Panel > Network and Sharing > on left pane, click "Manage wireless networks" > select your wifi network and enter Adapter properties

Now in the Networking tab you see an area with lots of checkboxes. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4" and go into Properties.

Now in the top portion select "Obtain IP address automatically"
In bottom portion select "Use the following DNS server addresses"

Enter preferred DNS server as 8.8.8.8
Enter Alternate DNS server as 8.8.4.4
You can use any DNS server that you know is working, usually your ISP's DNS server

Click OK and try accessing the internet. If pages still don't load, restart and try internet again.
