Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H87N-wifi
Psu: Corsair VS550W
Ram: Gskill 1x8gb DDR3 1600mhz

The VS series PSU may not be able to output what it once did because of capacitor aging. Try running OCCT GPU test and look at the voltage graphs it creates..... it may detect the nVidia card and throttle it, so try again w/ Furmark if it does. You could also use something like a "kil-o-watt" meeter (Amazon - $20 or so) to monitor power draw. Power supply output = kil-o-watt reading x PSU efficiency

BTW, next time remember that Dual Channel RAM should be installed with one stick in each channel..... 2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB etc
