Hey guys , I'm going to buy new gpu and I liked the price of the amd 280x , but when I tried to check out some reviews I noticed that a lot of people having this Artifacts problem and I want to know that if this problem still exist without any solutions , the problem is when I do buy this card I will not be able to return it if the problem exist for some regional Complexities .

What the alternatives you suggest to replace the 280x around the same price ??

Solution
Cards similar to the 280X would be variants of the HD 7970, R9 280, R9 285. They all can achieve 280X performance if you dabble with a bit of overclocking. The R9 285 being arguably the weakest because it has 2GB of VRAM that runs at a slower speed (Its the newest but weakest of the lot, and should be the cheapest)

Between those Gigabyte boards, get the GA-Z97X-UD5H. It has almost everything on the G1 Sniper in addition to a separate Intel Gigabit LAN controller for its own 2nd Ethernet port, M.2 and SATA Express connectors. That will ensure compatibility and maximum performance for the newest and fastest storage solutions in the market.
GTX 770 matches the 280X in performance.

Are you buying locally? If so I don't think you should encounter any "regional Complexities" when returning a defective card.

A lot of 280X get problems because it is basically the old HD 7970 chip pushed to run faster, to the extent that a lot of them become unstable. Manufacturers further overclocking the cards only make things worse. Its kind of like adding so many chocolate chips to a small cookie until the whole thing just crumbles.

Also some people might suggest getting a GTX 970 which obviously costs more. If that is out of your budget make it clear to us.

thanx for answering guys , in my country there is no return what so ever if the seller tested in front of you and it seems to work just fine , so in the time that the problem occurs there will be no returning , I know that gtx 770 is similar but it's like over 100$ more on price that I can't afford , so should I take my chances and pray that I'm not going to face the Artifacts problem or should I really consider the gtx 770 and by a sure thing ???

I meant by "sure thing" the gtx 770 with no problems , I'm going to try to make a deal with the seller if there is any problem I face in the next 2 months I will return the card and I hope he agrees

ok now , what you recommend for alternative ?

Only alternative without going for a more expensive or weaker card, is the HD 7970 Ghz if available.

Just so you know, the R9 280X is actually a re-brand of the 7970 Ghz. You might even find it cheaper because sellers in not-so-developed places like to make newer products more expensive even if they perform the same.

Ok , so how about I got a basic 280 or 280x without any overclocking from the manufacturer , it's like reduce the percentage of having the issue am I right ?

this is the basic VALUES FOR BOTHI 280X is Up to 1000 MHz and 280 is Up to 933 MHz , my Idea is to find a similar card values to those 2 cards

what do you think ?

Is there any big difference between the 280x and the 280 ?
