Connecting Android to PC via wifi

So I am trying to connect my android phone to pc so i can transfer file using wireless. there is an app smartdroid which i am trying to configure.

So i have dlink wireless n adsl2+, my pc is connected through ethernet as if doesnt have wifi card and my phone through wifi, both on the same router. But i cant seem to connect them both. I guess my pc and android are not in the same network?

Please help.

You will need to install a SMB client on your Android. Something like ES File Explorer can then be used to browse your network. You'll need to have one or more directory shares set up on your PC for the files you want to copy.

I have ES file explorer, clicked on lan and then scanned it and it doesnt seem to find my local ip.

Make sure your PC isn't hiding its IP with a firewall, and your router allows IP traffic between wireless and wired connections. This will be a setting in the router's configuration pages.
