Laptop doesn't turn on at all. No beep sounds. No caps-lock nor Num-lock light blinks. Only the light near the power plug blinks when you press the power button (this led is just a small dot left of the power plug). This led is off even when the power plug is connected and givingout good power:
- When I connect the AC adapter and press the power button, I see the power light (near DC input Jack) blink three or four times.
- Doing the same with the battery removed, doesn't give any blinks.
- Doing the same with battery but without connecting the AC adapter, doesn't show any blinks.
I`ve tested the AC adapter plug voltage with a multimeter and voltage is OK: 19v
I wonder if the DC charge input connector is bad

Any help will be welcome.

HP blink codes are here but it's a good chance there is an issue with a broken solder from the power jack to the distribution point as it's a common occurrence on HP and pretty much all laptops, especially if it's ever been dropped or jarred fairly good, but sometimes even if it hasn't or if you didn't know it had been.

It seems though that three blinks means the memory module has failed and four blinks means the graphics adapter has failed.

Thanks darkbreeze. The blinks you say are caps-lock and number-lock according to the website you said. The led I said is the little dot near the power plug. I'll let you know when I find something more ;)
