Hi guys

When I start my computer the boot screen is black, I do not see the options to go into the setup (BIOS) or boot options. It's blank for a while and then windows shows up. I do not see the American Megatrends and Republic of Gamers boot screens there was when I first got the computer
The PC works fine and the issue doesn't seem to affect other components.

My computer is customly assembled and is 5 years old.

Here are my specs :

Crosshair III Formula
AMD Phenom II X4 955
Corsair HX 1000
ATI Radeon HD 4850 x 2
4 GB RAM
Seagate barracuda 7200.11 1.5 TB
Cooler Master HAF 932

Also, the usb ports on the front of the computer got broke and I had to replace the I/O panel of my case. At the time (about 2 years ago) the broken usb ports caused a power overload. Unpluging the ports fixed the issue. I later replaced the panel and everything worked fine.

Would updating the Bios work, or formating the computer (which might be complicated with no boot screen) or is it a hardware problem.

Thank you
