So here's my problem:
I have built my own, computer, with a beast overclock of 5 GHz and a R7 260, but I desperately need an internal wifi adapter since my Usb wireless card is crap. I already know how to install it, and I can tell that i need it because when i use a laptop with a built in card it has 21/23 speeds, but on my computer it is a pitiful 0.64/0.33 Does anyone know a good budget wifi card? The motherboard I have is a MSI 970A-G43

These two support the latest Wi-Fi protocols, including AC.

Is the laptop and desktop in the same room when you are testing them? Are you running any downloads or anything else while testing? Even for a bad wifi card, if you are testing from the same area, that download and upload speeds are very low unless you have a lot of interference between the router and card or are downloading files.

The were in the same room, and it was just that tab open for the speed test.

No other system was doing anything on the network? I did not mean just the computer you were testing, any system using the network especially for downloads can take up bandwidth. Did you try the latest driver from the card vendor?

Are the $30 and $50 wifi things equal? If not, is the $50 worth it?
