So I've tried going into cmd and releasing and renewing but still nothing. I then test the ping function in cmd with ping www.google.com but that didn't work as well.

Any thoughts?

Edit: This thread is in the wrong place, sorry! I am running windows 7. If a mod could move this I would greatly appreciate it!

Try pinging 74.125.225.103 and let me know if that works. That is Google.com but without using DNS.

Have you tried manually setting Google DNS for your adapter/LAN device?

Do you mean going to the adapter settings and changing it there? If so I have.

Go to your network and sharing center, change adapter settings, right click on the proper adapter and select properties, and uncheck ipV6

Your ipconfig looks fine but it looks like your pc is trying to use IPV6 for DNS. Id turn off ipv6 and try adding google (8.8.8.8 or 4.4.4.4 if I remember correctly) as a secondary DNS server

HI

what browser are you using?
Recently I was fixing a PC and found ie completely corrupted and would not go on the Internet
But Firefox had no problems

Ie has a full reset hidden away in control panel Internet Settings
Probably result of malware

Run some extra anti spyware such as super antispyware

After resetting ie it behaved like a ie upgrade had occurred and it reset asked a few questions and started working normally

Unless they changed it recently, Google's DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Hmmmm, it wont even connect to the router.

I tired 192.168.0.1 on both comps. The broken one just gave me a failed page and the working on brought up a admin password thing.

I tried system restore just to see if that helps, but it failed before it even got to restart :(
