Hey, so i recently built my own computer about a week ago and after installing the OS it keeps having constant issues. The most common problem is programs not responding half the time, games constantly crashing to desktop after about 10 minutes and sometimes not even booting up when i switch it on.I have got many other random problems too like icons not doing anything after they have been clicked on (its like i never pressed it at all),random restarts and then the sound dont work, ethernet port not working and downloads just not working. The specs im using are:

-Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 skt-am3+ motherboard.
-Amd fx6300 Black edition 6 core 3.5 ghz processor.
-Corsair mid tower atx case spec 3.
-Evga Nvidia Geforce gtx 760 super clocked.
-Vengeance low profile 8gb ram.
-Western digital 750 GB 2.5 Sata internal hard drive.
-Antec True Power 550W PSU 80 Plus Gold 92% Max Efficiency - TP-550C

I have been searching for answers for several days now and cant find any solution to these problems.Any help would be greatly appreciated because as it stands, my computer is almost unusable at the moment,Thanks.

What PSU do you have? Did you test it outside of the case before installing everything? Downloads can't work until you resolve the Ethernet controller issue.

-Antec True Power 550W PSU 80 Plus Gold 92% Max Efficiency - TP-550C , thats my psu. Yeah i tested it and it worked fine,I should have been a little clearer because these issues only happen about half the time.

You mean half of the time everything works fine, including the Ethernet controller? If I were you I'd remove the motherboard from the case and test it to make sure an intermittent short isn't the issue.
