I used to have a broadband connection with a RJ11 port as input to my ADSL modem+router(Asus DSL-N10E).
Now I have switched to cable internet with a Ethernet(RJ45) port as input.

My question is : Can I still use the adsl modem to route this connection.

If yes, how do I set one of the 4 LAN ports to act as a WAN port?

I missed the type of hardware on the first read. The short answer, I believe is no, you can't reuse your router. You should probably just bite the bullet and get a new ethernet router.

This is one of the resons why having seperate modem and router is best.
You only have to replace one if one dies, and if you change service providers worst case you just need to buy a new modem.
