gtx 980 vs titan black?

Which is the best? helping a friend who is going to get a new pc. he is going to play 1080p gaming/rendering.

for 1080 either of those are overkill a 970 is better and would give you enough futureproof

Why? If he goes to a higher resolution just add another 970 in SLI. The cost for performance value is alot lower on those two cards than the 970.

Yeah that's a good power supply. Either one is fine actually. I like the Gigabyte model personally.

A bit necro but I was wondering the same thing, and all i have to say about this thread is if I come in and ask red or blue and someone says "well those are stupid id go with purple"... I will down vote you everytime. without fail. That wasn't the question asked, and half this thread is the poster relaying that point. So either answer the question asked, or don't comment.
