I'm trying to find an old windows game that I used to play as a kid. It began with you creating your character and once he was created, you walked around your town and the townsfolk started asking you to complete tasks. The tasks made you enter a forbidden dungeon where you had to kill spiders and open chests for treasure and what not. For each level of stairs that you went down, the creatures got harder and harder to kill.
