I have a Nvidia GTX 560 SE to go with my Core i5 3570k and my 16 gb of RAM. I also have a 750w PSU.

I am looking to upgrading my gpu and curious what everyone thinks. I game on a 1080p monitor and I don't for see me jumping to anything higher than 1080p as I'm comfortable with one monitor or using my tv.

I'm probably making a purchase around black friday weekend (cyber monday)...

What GPU is worth upgrading to? the Amd 280? 285? or like the gtx 760 with 2 or 4 gigs?
Or is it worth waiting till March for the GTX 960?

Please Help. I like to play Company of Heroes 2, Total War Shogun 2, Civ V, and the upcoming Civ: Beyond Earth, which are all very taxing.... Any suggestions. is more gigs of vram worth it on a 1080p machine...

Anything helps.

The best option is GTX 970 4GB VRAM . But i guess you want a card about $200 . R9 285 have 2GB VRAM but R9 280 -3GB , so i would get R9 280 . R9 280 is a good gaming card . GTX 760 4GB is way expensive . So , my choice is MSI R9 280 TF

R9 280 is about 3x faster than GTX 560SE

I will go with the R9 280. Basically is an HD 7950 and is faster than the GTX 760. But if you want to wait and see what the GTX 960 offers that's up to you. In a nut shell. the 280 is faster than the 760
